Body Procedures in Fairfield County, CT

Surgical Power, Honest Recommendations

Body contouring spans a wide spectrum: abdominoplasty and mini abdominoplasty for skin and muscle repair, liposuction and laser liposuction for stubborn fat, BodyTite for minimally invasive tightening, Brazilian butt lift for shape built from your own fat, and arm lift for the upper arms.

The spectrum matters because bodies do not come in procedure-shaped packages. Loose skin needs excision; stubborn fat needs contouring; mild laxity may need only radiofrequency energy. Choosing wrong means scars you did not need or results that disappoint.

Dr. Kim performs the full range, including lipo-abdominoplasty as our standard tummy tuck approach and a drainless technique for patients who qualify, so his recommendation follows your tissue, not a device’s marketing.

Body Contouring Results

What Our Body Patients Value Most

The difference between a good result and a great one is judgment: which procedure, how much, and where to stop.

  • A recommendation drawn from the full toolkit, surgical and minimally invasive, never one-size-fits-all.

  • Lipo-abdominoplasty as standard: liposuction included with your tummy tuck, not billed as an add-on.

  • A drainless tummy tuck technique available for patients who qualify, removing recovery’s most-feared step.

  • Contours that look athletic and natural in motion, not just posed.

  • Realistic timelines: most patients return to desk work in one to two weeks depending on the procedure.

  • One surgeon and one team from consultation through your final follow-up.

Tummy Tuck, Liposuction, or BodyTite

Matching the Procedure to Your Tissue

The three most-requested body treatments solve three different problems. Liposuction removes fat deposits but does not tighten skin. A tummy tuck removes loose skin and repairs separated abdominal muscles, the changes exercise cannot reach. BodyTite sits between them, tightening mild to moderate laxity through millimeter-scale incisions.

Self-diagnosis fails here more than anywhere else: patients pinch fat that is actually loose skin, or blame skin when the real issue is muscle separation from pregnancy.

A short examination gives Dr. Kim the answer, and he will give it to you straight, including when the smaller procedure you hoped for will not deliver the result you want.

Common questions

Answers before you ask

Which body procedure do I actually need?
It depends on what your tissue is doing, not what a procedure is named. Stubborn fat with tight skin points to liposuction; loose skin or separated muscles point to a tummy tuck; mild laxity may qualify for BodyTite alone. Most patients cannot reliably self-diagnose the difference between fat, skin, and muscle separation, and choosing wrong wastes money or adds unnecessary scars. Dr. Kim’s examination sorts it out within minutes, and his recommendation follows your anatomy.
What is lipo-abdominoplasty and why is it your standard?
A traditional tummy tuck removes skin and repairs muscle but leaves fat deposits at the waist and flanks untouched, which can make results look blocky. Lipo-abdominoplasty integrates liposuction into the tummy tuck itself, sculpting the waistline while the skin and muscle are corrected. Many practices bill that combination as an expensive add-on; we treat it as the standard of care because the results are simply better.
Do I have to have drains after a tummy tuck?
Not necessarily. Dr. Kim offers a drainless abdominoplasty technique using progressive tension sutures for patients who qualify. Drains are consistently the part of recovery patients dread most, and eliminating them simplifies healing significantly. Whether you are a candidate depends on your tissue and the extent of your procedure, which Dr. Kim will assess at your consultation.
How much downtime should I plan for?
It ranges widely. BodyTite patients are often back at a desk within a few days. Liposuction typically needs several days to a week. A full tummy tuck is the most involved: most patients take one to two weeks off work and return to full exercise around six weeks. Whatever your procedure, you will leave your consultation with a realistic, personal timeline rather than a best-case marketing number.
Will my results last?
Fat cells removed by liposuction or BodyTite do not return, and skin and muscle repaired by a tummy tuck stay repaired. What results require from you is weight stability: significant gain stretches any result, and pregnancy after a tummy tuck can reverse the muscle repair. Patients who maintain a stable weight typically enjoy their contour for many years.
Can I combine body procedures?
Frequently, yes. Liposuction pairs naturally with a tummy tuck; several areas can be treated in one liposuction session; and body work is the foundation of the mommy makeover when combined with breast surgery. The limits are safety: total operative time and your recovery support at home. Dr. Kim will tell you honestly what can be combined safely and what is better staged.
